The Abitibi Eskimos are pleased to announce that they have acquired Corey Hamel from the Thunder Bay North Stars (SIJHL). The 19-year-old (5’ 10” – 170 lbs) forward reported to his new team last Thursday and is expected to dress tonight when the Eskis host the North Bay Trappers. Hamel, who hails from Rouyn-Noranda, had 1 goal and 1 assist in 9 games played this season with the North Stars.
