SUDBURY, Ont. – A new look behind the bench awaits the Timmins Rock once the 2026-27 Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League season begins later in the week.
With Brandon Perry departing Timmins, earning a role with the Queen’s University Golden Gaels men’s hockey program as their new head coach, Sheldon Reasbeck has taken over the reigns as bench boss and general manager of the Rock.
With previous head coaching experience in the Great North U18 Hockey League with his hometown Kapuskasing Flyers as well as overseas in Iceland where he guided Skautafélag Akureyrar, who have won back-to-back league championships, Reasbeck will look for more of the same in Timmins this season.
Going unbeaten in NOJHL preseason play, his current side boasts some highly skilled returning talent, along with some talented newcomers that should make the Rock a formidable opponent on most nights in league competition.
