TIMMINS – The Timmins Rock made a number of roster moves prior to Friday night’s game against the Gold Miners in Kirkland Lake.

The NOJHL team has traded forward Tyler Romain to the Napanee Raiders, of the Empire B Junior C League.

Romain (18, 4-6-10, 7), a Timmins native, spent the 2013-14 season with the Raiders.

He was acquired from the Cambridge Winter Hawk, of the GOJHL, back on Aug. 13.

Romains has two goals in his first two games with the Raiders.

Another Timmins native, Austin Boulard (18, 11-21-32, 28), leads both the Raiders and the Empire B Junior C League in scoring this season.

With back-up goalie Matthew Nixon out with a lower-body injury, the Rock have signed Mike Gresko.

The 18-year-old Timmins native spent the 2014-15 season with the Kapuskasing Flyers, of the Great North Midget League.

Gresko got into 19 games with the Flyers during the regular season and posted a goals against average of 4.97.

The Flyers did not make the playoffs during the 2014-15 campaign.

Gresko is a graduate of the Porcupine Gold Kings, of the Timmins Midget Hockey League.

In addition, the team has signed former Timmins Majors forward Alexandre Brisson.

Brisson (27, 13-23-36, 36), an 18-year-old Cochrane native, played two seasons with the GNML’s Majors.

He also appeared in two games with the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners, of the NOJHL, during the 2014-15 campaign and picked a pair of assists and one minor penalty.

Prior to joining the Majors, Brisson played for the Cochrane Gold Rush, of the Timmins Midget Hockey League.
