Normally when the Timmins Rock play a home game they encourage fans to Pack the Mac, but Sunday afternoon’s contest will have a slightly different theme.

The NOJHL team’s bus will be parked in front of the McIntyre Arena and fans will be asked to Pack the Bus, in support of The Lord’s Kitchen.

Mark Fenton, a member of the Rock’s board of directors, explained all of the non-perishable food items collected at the game will be donated to The Lord’s Kitchen and fans making a donation will be able to purchase tickets to Sunday afternoon’s contest for $5.

“We, as a group, benefit yearly from the generosity of the community, and this initiative is the Timmins Rock’s way of giving back to our community’s most vulnerable population during this festive season,” he said.

“As an organization we strive to give back whenever possible.”

The Rock have led the NOJHL in attendance every year since moving back to Timmins from Iroquois Falls and so far in 2025-26 that trend has continued with an average of 697 fans attending games at the McIntyre Arena.
