MEN use white tee blocks.
LADIES use yellow tee blocks.
PLEASE .. DO NOT LOOK for LOST BALLS (unless you have written documentation that they are a family heirloom). You may return to the course (after the meal) and search to your heart's content.
PLEASE DO NOT SPEND HOURS LINING UP YOUR PUTTS. Remember .. you are an amateur and you are going to miss anyways. Don't prolong the agony for yourself and your fellow competitors.
HAVE FUN Tournament format is a 4 person scramble. Ladies may use ladies tees. Everyone tees off .. the team selects the best tee shot .. play continues from there until ball is holed.
PLEASE do not practice putting after your team has holed out (you are wasting your time - see Rule 3).
Preferred lies EVERYWHERE (including hazards). Mark the location of the selected ball with a tee, swizzle stick or whatever. Next shots are to be played anywhere within one club-length of that marker but no closer to the hole. If one club-length moves you from the rough to the fairway, from a hazard to the rough, or from the fringe to the green etc. - good for you! Ball is to be placed (or dropped). Because this is a hockey team event .. "stick handling" is permitted but only in your own fairway.
A ball "in the stands" (out-of-bounds) is out of play.
WHIFFS – “whiffs” do not count. (You missed the ball – why should it count?)
Play begins with an air-horn blast at 1:00 PM
