Abitibi Eskimos goaltender Marc Audet was named one of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League three stars in week one. Abitibi did not hit the win column in week one, but it would be awfully hard to blame that on goaltending. The 6’2” puckstopper turned aside 86 of the 95 shots he faced, earning first and second star honours in the process. Originally from Astorville, the 1996-born goalie suited up with the Rocky Mountain Roughriders in Cedar Rapids (Iowa) last winter before returning to Northern Ontario to join the Eskimos this year.
