NOJHL announces league championship series schedule

SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Friday its game schedule for the NOJHL championship series between the Timmins Rock and Soo Thunderbirds.

Each contest in the series will feature 7 p.m. starts, with the exception of Game 3, which will begin at 6 p.m.

Action in the best-of-seven match-up starts Thursday in Timmins, with the Rock also hosting Game 2 the following evening.

Heading to John Rhodes Community Centre in Sault Ste. Marie for the next two contests, Game 3 will go Sunday, April 23, followed by Game 4 there on Monday, April 24.

If required, Game 5 will be held on Wednesday, April 26, in Timmins.

Should a Game 6 be needed, the Thunderbirds will host it on Sunday, April 30.

Then, if necessary, Game 7 would be played on Tuesday, May 2, at ‘The Mac.’

The NOJHL final will also be streamed live and on demand, via HockeyTV.com.

The NOJHL champion will move on to compete in the Centennial Cup, Canadian Jr. A Championship, May 11-21, in Portage la Prairie, Man.
