NOJHL Game Day to launch this week

SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) is gearing up to launch new online content for the 2024-25 season.

‘NOJHL Game Day’ will feature highlights and videos of match-ups throughout the campaign, as well as provide pre-game, player, team and league information.

Hosted and produced by Alex Bastyovanszky of Rimrock Media Solutions, ‘NOJHL Game Day’ will be made available through the league’s YouTube channel.

Links posted on the league website at NOJHL.com, and various other broadcast and social media outlets, will also provide viewing access.

“With the upcoming launch of ‘NOJHL Game Day’, we’ll be offering our fans, member teams, corporate partners, and the like, a supplementary insight to the league,” stated commissioner Robert Mazzuca.

“The work of our play-by-play commentators and camera personnel, along with those who generate the game broadcasts, will be additionally enhanced in highlighting the NOJHL,” Mazzuca went on to provide.

For his part, Bastyovanszky had this to say: “I’m incredibly excited to launch our first season of ‘NOJHL Game Day.’

In further discussing the program, Bastyovanszky added: “Fans can look forward to a fast-paced pre-game program showcasing the best the league has to offer. All the top hits, goals and saves, latest league news and a preview of that night’s upcoming games – All in one show. This will spotlight the NOJHL’s talent like never before.”

The 312-game NOJHL regular season begins Thursday as the defending champion Greater Sudbury Cubs host the Soo Thunderbirds at 7:05 p.m. at Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex and on FLOHockey.tv.
