Timmins Rock forward Nicolas Pigeon’s attempts to pounce on a juicy rebound were foiled on this second-period play as the puck bounced between his legs after Crunch goalie Michael Nickolau made the initial save Friday night at the Tim Horton Event Centre in Cochrane. Pigeon would have the last laugh, however, as he netted his first NOJHL goal in the third period to help the Rock skate to a 6-2 victory. The two teams will play the second game of their 10-game set at the Tim Horton Event Centre Saturday night. THOMAS PERRY/THE DAILY PRESS
